Thorns Have Many Roses*
my assistants at work may not believe me, but truth is, i actually dont get many flowers sent to me at work. so i was extremely surprised and very happy to receive a bouquet of 1-dozen long-stemmed red roses delivered to my workplace yesterday.
the minute i got home, i unwrapped the bouquet, cut the stems at an angle, stripped the lower leaves, fixed a few broken stems with a straw & dental floss (of course, poor darling stems) and put the roses & filler flowers in a clean glass container with "plant food" - water, sugar, lemon juice & a leetle bit of bleach.
preettyy~~

*'Thorns Have Many Roses' is the answer i gave in my primary school english test, the kind which asks you to rearrange the words to form a sentence. The correct answer was 'Roses Have Many Thorns' but i'm by nature hopelessly Optimistic with a capital-O. Thorns Have Many Roses :) :)
